Seth Engel aka Options - A musical jack of all trades, multi-instrumentalist, recording studio operator, record producer and all around good dude - is back with his newest LP which is titled BEAST MODE.

Seth has been working as hard as possible for years. I've never known a dude who has more hustle than him and we cherish his work here at SCLTD. He is indeed a bird of a feather and BEAST MODE is quite possibly his finest work yet.

We loved SWIMMING FEELING (which we released a couple years ago) and were anxiously awaiting what would be next. We never would have predicted this. It's sharp. Almost pointy in it's execution. The guitars are like razors but soft beautiful razors bouncing on top of electronic drums and bedroom studio tricks. The vocals are sometimes natural. Sometimes auto-tuned. But in a stylistic choice that feels in line with the digital computer-ness of this LP. 

Nearly everything about BEAST MODE feels retro-future in it's presentation. Like the Options version of a krautrock record or something. What makes BEAST MODE so special is Seth's ability to breath so much life into the mainframe. This record is alive and it consistently reminds you of it throughout the playback. 

Also - This is one of the best sounding test presses I have ever approved. It sounds KILLER on vinyl.
