"There is a new scene that's been brewing in Chicago. One of sincerity, heart-on-the-sleeve emotion and.. well.. twangy guitars.

These young upstarts have been influenced here by the likes of their elders in Wilco, Ratboys and Jodi and that influence has spawned a breadth of new and incredible bands such as Free Range, Cusp, Rat Tally, Hemlock, Tobacco City... and our dear friend Andy and their project Red PK. 

Andy is an accomplished pedal steel player. You wouldn't have guessed that they only started playing in the last several years based on their skill level. It's incredible to watch. On top of that niche ability they have an ear for a catchy hook and carry with them the voice of a raspy angel. 

Horse Like Me is an accomplished work of art. It's a journey that wisps the listener through 10 tracks of bittersweet beauty. The musicians who have backed Andy up on this project are a who's who of Chicago indie darlings and every performance is something special. 

If you're a fan of the bands mentioned above you just absolutely need to own this record. You will not be disappointed. Not to mention that Andy moonlights in nearly all of them. Like I said... There is a new scene here in Chicago."
