Released in 2002 on Initial Records, The Reputation is the self-titled debut from the indie rock band led by Elizabeth Elmore, formerly of Sarge. Almost entirely written by Elmore, the album explores love, friendship, loneliness, and the everyday struggles of modern life with wit, honesty, and razor-sharp lyricism.

The Reputation’s debut also features Sean Hulet on guitar, Joel Root on bass, and Chad Romanowski on drums, with former Wilco guitarist Jay Bennett appearing on piano for the Elvis Costello cover “Almost Blue.”

For the first time ever, The Reputation is now available on vinyl, giving this celebrated early-2000s indie rock debut a long-awaited physical release.
