Southern California’s popfree return with their debut LP, "Overt", an emotionally charged record built around the harder parts of being human. Drawing from alternative, emo, and post-hardcore, the band expands on their previous EP, "Spring", while reconnecting with the music that inspired them to start playing in the first place.

Written as a cohesive band, "Overt" moves through sadness, anger, disappointment, frustration, and the feeling of just wanting to give up, ultimately finding something hopeful in confronting those feelings together. Recorded and mixed by Colin Knight at Paradise Studios in Anaheim and mastered by Ben Harris, the record captures a band continuing to develop its sound without sacrificing the urgency and sincerity at the core of what they do. A band dead set on pushing the listener to feel driven by the music. To engage and to get out and see the band live, where popfree are arguably at their most electric and genuine.

"Overt" is about finding an outlet, finding connection, and reminding yourself that you're not the only one going through it. It is an example of art in its purest form: honest, unfiltered, and created simply because it needs to exist.

Pre-orders refer to items that are not currently in stock or are still in the manufacturing process.

Expected shipping dates can always be found in the product description.

Please note that any order that includes a pre-order item will not be shipped until all pre-order items are available in stock.

Due to the nature of mail-order and the way in which some records are packaged (e.g., sealed), seam splits may occur in transit.

If you wish to avoid this, Devil Dog strongly recommends requesting shipping records outside of their sleeve. You can do this via the order notes box at checkout or by emailing info@devildogdistro.com with your order information.

If you do not make this request and receive records with seam splits, Devil Dog is not liable for this damage.

Will I be charged Customs and/or Import Fees on my order?

Devil Dog is based in the UK. Due to the recent changes that have arisen since Brexit - going forward EU Customers will now be charged VAT on orders upon arrival into your country, plus any handling charges. These fees and charges must be paid by the receiver.

If you are unsure what fees will apply to your order, please check with your local customs office before purchasing so you are aware of charges to avoid any nasty surprises.
